Not sure where my post disappeared but I try again.
The Way to Russia site indicates the Trans-manchurian train #20 as leaving on the 5th of January 2009, which is a Monday. Other site indicate that this train leaves on Fridays and some also indicate trains leaving on Friday the second of January. What is correct as I assume there is only one Vostok #20 per week.
Also the price quoted on the Way to Russia (US$205) is about half of what other sites indicate. Is this correct or am I missing something such as hidden cost?

Check poezda.net - looks as if the Moscow / Beijing 020 train leaves every Friday at 23:55.

Thanks,
but the timetable stops one week too early at 31 December 2008. If train #20 simply continues to leave every Friday, why would Way to Russia try to sell me a ticket for Monday (5 january 2009), or is the information a few years old when 5 Januari fell on a Friday and when the dollar was so strong that 205 dollars was enough to make a profit?

Yes, the WayToRussia schedule is wrong (the #020 leaves on Fridays) and the prices are outdated.
