I'm starting a world trip in a few months, 7 months max ending up in Beijing and hopefully taking the train back to Moscow and then Vienna. We would like to have our train tickets and visa organised before we leave.
Can we apply for visa invitation in January (from this site for example) and get a visa starting in August next year? I've read that you only get a visa six months in advance, but that would mean we'd have to get the visa on the road, which would be a lot more complicated.
Thanks for any help or advice, never been near that part of the world, any information is much appreciated.
